ABOUT

ABOUT THE PIT A PAT STUDY

Physical activity is vital for a child's development and lays the foundation for a healthy and active life, and when it comes to kids, the best form of physical activity is PLAY!

The Pit a Pat Study is designed to help you to get active with your kids! After working with many parents through our research at Deakin University, we know that this is important to you. Our program will help to give you some tips and tricks to engage your child in active play, and most of all it will be fun!

WHAT IS THE PIT A PAT STUDY?

The Pit a Pat Study is a six week program which is delivered to parents of children aged between 1-3 years. It is a completely online program so you can participate from the comfort of your own home! During the six week program we will send you text messages twice a week including tips, tricks and videos on how to help increase your child's active play time and reduce their time spent in front of a screen (e.g. TV, iPhone/ iPad etc.)

HOW WAS THE PROGRAM DEVELOPED?

Researchers at the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research at Deakin University developed the program. This program will help us understand the best ways we can support parents to learn skills to help promote children's health!
